Massage and Pain

Pain plays a part in nearly all of our lives at some point.  Ultimately, pain is one of the ways our body can speak to us. “Hello, can you hear me? Something is wrong and I need your attention?” Sometimes the attention can be as simple as resting an overworked muscle but oftentimes the messages have been ignored or worked around for so long that other means of treatment are necessary.

I see many clients suffering with pain and symptoms that keep them from doing their favorite activities. Regardless of it being chronic pain that set in years ago or acute pain from a weekend event, discomfort can cause a downward spiral leading to sleeplessness, anxiety, depression and many other related symptoms.

While the body is known for its healing power, sometimes a little assistance can go a long way in breaking that pain cycle. Don't give into the pain, instead, find what works for you and make a commitment to care for yourself each and everyday!
